everybody should have a public wishlist. why? because it’s fun to dream, and it’s even better when you can start crossing things out. every once in a while, people even listen to what you have to say and surprise you with something that’s on it… hell, this wish list is the very reason i have this blog, and for that alone it deserves it’s own very special page. it will grow and adapt with the times, and maybe one of these days i’ll have everything crossed off.
Mixing Bowl Set. i own exactly 2 mixing bowls. one of them is so heavy, i don’t like to use it. the other one is aluminum, and while i love using it…a lot of my new found recipes call for more than one bowl. besides, they’re cheap. i want some nice ones.
Jelly Roll Pans. i found a recipe for a candycane roll-thingy, and i really want to make it. it sounds absolutely delicious, but i can’t make it unless i get that jellyroll pan.
Madeleine Pan. i already have one… but it would be much more convenient if i had 2, since my pan only has 12 Madeleine cups, rather than the 24 all the recipes call for.
Very Supportive Sports Bra. supportive sports bras are a rarity in my size. in fact, i’ve never seen one. but i would love to have one… i’m a 34DD on a skinny day, and i don’t have the pleasure of having fake tits… these suckers are 100% me, and they’re doing their best to kiss the ground just a little more every day. if my husband didn’t love them so much, i’d duct tape these bitches down.
Pan’s Labrynth on Blu Ray. i rented that movie once, and LOVED it. i haven’t bought it because i just can’t bring myself to spend thirty bucks on a movie i’ve already seen that my husband wouldn’t like. i still want the movie, though. with the little bit of Christmas money i received, i ordered a couple books from Amazon.com, and threw Pan’s Labrynth in my cart just because. it’s here, it’s watched, and it’s still as awesomely strange as i remember. (YAY!)
Macro Lense. i’d love to have a macro lense for my camera. a photography session at the house just isn’t the same when i can’t catch the wonder of the carpet fibers in the livingroom.
Cherry Pitter. i love cherries, and have wanted one of those things for years. i even bought one once, but i found one minutes later that was $5 cheaper and was so aggravated that i paid too much for it, i returned it and never went back for the cheaper one.
Yoga Pants. i’m a small. ;P
True Blood. every season, as it comes out. i have season 1 on my ipod, but seriously… i’ve watched it on a 1 inch screen. for some reason, i have a feeling that watching it on an actual television bigger than a pack of gum, will make a big difference.
Giftcards to Any of the Following Places: (or similar stores) Target, Walmart, Buckle, Shoe Carnival, BabiesRus, Fredericks of Hollywood, Barnes and Noble, JCPenney, William Sonoma, Amazon.com, and probably a few more that i can’t think of right now. you get the picture.
Chocolate. mmmm, yes. back to that woman thing? i love chocolate. sample boxes of gourmet truffles are an especially exciting gift, since each individual truffle is like an individual gift itself.
Muzzle and Cattle Prod. because if my fucking DOGS don’t stop barking while the kids are trying to sleep, i’m gonna KILL THEM. officially unnecessary now because we gave stupid dog #2 to MIL to spoil. he was the instigator, so now the only barking is when there’s actually something to bark at. WHOO HOO!
Pizza. because i really want an extra cheese and mushroom pan pizza right now. i’ve been craving one for days, but we just don’t have the extra $$ to splurge on pizza. so sad. i’m on a mission to live a healthier life. that includes eliminating foods that are bad for me, or give me a heart attack inducing case of heartburn. sadly, pizza falls in both those categories. so sad.
Stainless Cookware Set. because the only pots i have that will boil water, are cast iron. it’s a pain in the ass when all i want to make is one serving of ramen noodles. i got rid of my stainless pots when i moved in with MIL, and while i don’t want that specific set back…i’d still like one. whee hoo! Christmas 2009 my husband and son went out and bought me a new cookware set. they are so light, i can carry each individual piece with ONE HAND!
Double Boiler. because i know that one day i’ll need one, and i’ll just have to settle for melting chocolate in a pickle jar in a pot full of water.
Steaming Basket. you know, the kind that looks like a flying saucer? i used to use mine all the time… but when i moved to MILs it disappeared. i want one, but keep forgetting to get it when we have the money. MIL found mine and gave it back to me last time i visited.
Rubber Spatulas. i am currently using a miniature rubber spatula that came with an easy bake oven MIL gave my son several years ago. (no idea what happened to the oven…all i have is the spatula) while it is working, a set of normal spatulas would be nice. as it is, it’s rather comical to watch me pour batter and spread icing with the miniature spatula. oh, and i just don’t want to put forth the effort to get some cheap ones from the dollar store. i found one in my kitchen drawer when i was moving the utensils out. SCORE!
Hemp Pocket Diaper Inserts. my microfiber insets aren’t doing the trick anymore. i guess that’s what i get for going cheap, eh? E is in disposable more than cloth nowadays, and i kinda hate it. but it’s ridiculous when her diaper is sopping after 1 hour, and more than 3 changes of clothes are needed on a normal day. boo.
A Blog of my Very Own. yeah, i know i’ve got one already… but i really want one without the “blogspot.com” tagged on the end. but it requires $$, and time. money, i don’t have…and time? i just don’t want to take to do it. THANK YOU J!!!!!!
Pewter Fantasy Figurines. silly? yes. but they’re a guilty pleasure. i love ‘em. i’ve been collecting them for a long time, although i don’t have many. i just like ‘em. they’re pretty.
Fantasy Art Books. i have a few, and i love to sit on the bed when the house is quiet and look at all the pictures. Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell are 2 of my favorites.
Sparkly Stones. i like jewelry. i’m a girl. if it has a sparkly stone in it… that’s even better.
but i don’t wear yellow gold. i also like almost gothic style jewelry, but not over the top. i am a grown woman, after all. i’ve lost my desire for fancy jewelry. i’ll stick with the amber stuff that i sport all the time.
Amber Jewelry. ever since i got E and i those matching necklaces, i’ve fallen in love with that stone. i love the way it sparkles and catches the light. i love the way it always feels warm against my skin. there is just something…comfortable about it, and i really wish i had more than just piece of amber jewelry.
Slave Bracelet. you know…the kind of bracelet that connects to a ring? i’ve always wanted one of those, but i have extra big hands, so every one i’ve found has either been extremely tacky or too small.
Tattoo. care to fund my next tattoo? ’cause i want another. but i have a feeling that’s something i’ll never be able to budget into my everyday life.
Really Cool Phone. i am sick to death of my phone. it switches towers at least 10 times a day, the signal is shitty either way, and the keypad cramps my fingers. i want a phone with a long keyboard. it doesn’t have to be web capable because we don’t have that in our contract. all i do is text and take pictures/videos. we’re trying to get out of our cell contract without paying an arm and a leg, so it’ll be a couple years before i can save up for a decent phone. we said to hell with getting out of the contract, and signed our lives away again. when i upgraded my phone i got a Samsung Exclaim. i love it. we don’t have a data plan anymore, and it fits my needs for a numerical AND long alphabetical keypad perfectly.
A Good Nights Sleep. because that’s what i’m really needing right now. i’m sure there are other things i’d love to have… but it’s bedtime. mama needs her beauty rest, eh?
A House. yes, a house. i would LOVE to be able to paint my own walls, knock as many holes in the walls as i want to, and rip up every last thread of the nasty ass carpet it will probably come with. preferably, it will have a minimum of 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchen with lots of countertop space and a breakfast nook because i need room for my espresso machine and we just don’t do formal dining. i would like to have a computer room that has extra room for my excercise equipment, and a decent sized but cozy livingroom that has lots of wallspace for bookshelves. i need a garage, so my husband can put all his man-stuff down there without cluttering up MY workspace in the kitchen or livingroom. i would also like a laundryroom that is level with the living space of the house. i hate having to go down to the basement. oh, and a fenced in yard so i can kick the dogs out whenever i feel like it.
a mudroom would be nice, but it’s negotiable. that’s all.
Flowers. one thing i HATE hearing is “i don’t want to get you flowers, they’re so overdone”. well, not to me they aren’t! i’m a girl, i love flowers. they make me feel special and appreciated and if you gave me flowers, i would probably adore you forever. (hmmm… just noticed this is already here… i must really, really want them…)
Kitchen Trash Can. preferably with a lid. why am i asking for a kitchen trash can? because we don’t have one. well, we don’ t have a real one, at least. we’re using one of those plastic storage containers intended for wrapping paper and whatnot. it’s masquerading as a trash can, but when it comes down to it, it’s too narrow for our every day garbage chucking purposes. i just can’t seem to bring myself to shell out the cash for a real trash can, when the POS we’re using is working just fine. Whee Hoo! i got full permission to buy myself a brand spankin new kitchen trash can when we had a decent pay check deposited into our account. it’s red. it’s plastic. it has a lid that snaps onto the bag so the bag doesn’t slip into the can. it. is. awesome.
Cedar Chest. you know…the kind that looks like a big treasure chest, often used for bedsheets and blankets? i’ve always wanted a nice big chest i can put my special stuff in, but i’ve never had one. i doubt anybody’s even realized i want one so badly.
Fancy Nightgowns. some for winter, some for summer…but i would really love to have old world style dressing gowns. i just think it would be so cool to spend my normal night-time sit on the couch and watch tv routine layed out in a fancy nightgown.
Supernatural on DVD. all the seasons. i’ve recently gotten into this show, and LOVE it. i even chose it over Grey’s Anatomy when i had to pick one or the other to record. i didn’t catch it in time to watch the first 4 or so seasons, though. i’d like to see the Winchester brother’s story from the beginning. we’re doing Netflix now, and i’m slowly watching them all.
no need to clutter up my house with more DVD cases!!!
Amber Beads. i think i could make some nice amber jewelry for myself, if i could get my hands on the beads… but it’s just another one of those things i won’t buy myself because it just isn’t a necessity.
Transformers 2, Star Trek (2009 movie), and Harry Potter (All of ‘em) on Blu-Ray. these movies just happened to come out when we had to remove frivolous items from our grocery list. doesn’t make me want ‘em any less, though.
Coffee Table. i’ve never had my own coffee table. for a while i used a gigantic oak monstrosity of my MILs, but it was round. if you’ve ever had a round coffee table, then you’ll know they’re pretty much all form and NO function. you could only reach your drink if you were sitting in the center of the couch, and you could just forget about putting your feet on it. it was useless, and i hated it. i want a long rectangular coffee table. not too fancy…storage underneath would be nice, but isn’t a must have. Valentine’s Day, 2010 my husband took me antiquing and together we picked out a coffee table!!! hooray!!!
1 Carat Round Brilliant Amethyst or Fake Diamond Gem Stone. i had my engagement diamond reset a couple years ago, and i still have the original single stone setting in my jewelry box, sans-stone. i’d really like to get an amethyst set in it (yes, just because i LOVE purple so damn much) so i can wear some form of an engagement ring all the time. the other one is too expensive and nice to wear around the house, but sometimes my thin little wedding band gets lonely.
… and that’s all for now!
