it’s saturday, the day of resting or pointless activities. or in this house- pointless blogging. my teapot has been set to boil, but it will be just a little bit before i hear it’s melodious call. i’m going to have a hot cup of Celestial Seasoning’s Candy Cane Lane tea. it’s a decaf Vanilla Mint Green tea… and it tastes like a little sip of pepperminty heaven. usually i don’t go for decaf anything, (hello quad latte in the morning!) but this just tastes so good, i have to. in fact, i’m just thrilled to be able to! i first tried it a few years ago during a brief period of taste-testing the entire tea market, and fell in love. then Christmas came and went, and they removed the tea from the grocery store shelves. so sad. i haven’t been able to find it since. 
but then a fellow blogger over at A Day in the Life of a Crazy Nursing Student mentioned her favorite tea (which also just happens to be a Celestial Seasonings holiday special) and i actually remembered to check for it. of course it was there… or i wouldn’t be writing about how i’m about to enjoy my first cup of it in nearly 2 years. *ahh, heaven*
so as my daughter makes a mess of mashed potatoes, diced chicken, and mixed vegetables and my son plays a new game demo we downloaded for him on the ps3, i’m going to try and relax. it’s a near impossible feat for me, but perhaps… perhaps this is that one time. eh. maybe not. i’m off to scrape mashed potatoes out of my daughter’s ears and try and convince my son to put some pants on (he’s still in his pj’s) before we go to the park when daddy gets home.
